Eat, Sip, and Be Merry

Summer parties are in full swing and we’re once again asking friends and family “what can I bring??” Not to fret, Zoom Out has you covered. We’ve artfully crafted this simple food and beverage pairing for you, sure to satisfy even the pickiest picnickers.

Starting off with none other than our own Zoom Out Mushroom Tea. The Reishi Red blend is tangy and bold, made with reishi, lemon, and hibiscus. For this recipe, we’re leaning into the subtle notes of citrus with this Honey-Citrus Reishi Tea (adapted from this Taste of Home recipe).

Ingredients

  • 4 servings of steeped Reishi Red mushroom tea

  • 2 medium navel oranges

  • 2 medium lemons

  • 2 cups orange juice

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

  • 3 tablespoons honey or simple syrup

  • 1/2 liter ginger ale, chilled

  • Ice

Directions

  • Pour prepared & cooled mushroom tea into a pitcher. Peel and section 1 orange and 1 lemon; add to tea. Stir in the orange juice, lemon juice, and honey. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or up to overnight. Cut remaining orange and lemon into slices; freeze.

  • Just before serving, strain and discard fruit from tea. Stir in ginger ale. Serve with frozen fruit slices and ice.
